Yakima River Fishing Report

The Yakima is in great shape this week, and is actually running lower than average for this time of year, at about 2600 cfs in the canyon. The fishing has been consistent, with nymphing being the most productive tactic, whether your nymph is fished under an indicator or a big dry fly. Dry-fly fishing has been picking up more and more steam, and in addition to our evening caddis and mid-afternoon PMDs, we are finally starting to see some adult shortwing (summer) stones, with some action on bigger chubbies and stimmies early and late. It looks like flows should be stable from here on out, so come get in on some great summer fishing!
