We're starting to sound like a broken record here, but after a brief bump in flows the Yakima is again dropping and clearing, and the fishing has been good from the upper river through the lower canyon. March Browns were the main dry fly fare over the weekend, and although there weren't a ton of fish feeding on top, if you looked hard in some of the flats and tailouts there were few dry-fly eaters to be found. Nymphing has been a consistent poducer of bigger fish, with Pat's stones in #8-10, pink San Juans and flashback or CDC PTs in #12-14 being the best bugs subsurface. The current forecast calls for the Yak to continue to drop throughout the week and into next week, and as the river drops, the fishing should continue to improve. See you out there!
