The Yakima and it's tributaries are on the rise after a weekend of rain and warmer than average air temps. It looks like the river will be out of shape for the majority of the week, but cross your fingers and you may see fishable conditions by next weekend. For now, Rocky Ford is going to be your best bet, but don't expect solitude. Scuds, damsel nymphs, midge pupa as well as adults, and big meaty streamers are all producers this time of year. Keep an eye on flows, when the Yakima does drop back into shape the fishing should be pretty damn good.
