Yakima River Fishing Report: April 14th, 2018

The river dropped back into shape over the last 48 hours, and fishing has been good with both the nymph and the dry. With the cloudy, wet weather we've been having, the March Browns having been popping every afternoon between 1-4 pm, along with some BWO. Parachute March Browns, Comparaduns and PT Cripples have all been taking fish when the bugs start popping. Nymphing has been consistent pre and post hatch, with the always reliable Pat's San Juan combo producing in the soft water. Keep an eye on the flows over the next several days, it looks like we may see a bump in flows starting tomorrow. If the river does hold, the dry-fly fishing should be good through the early part of the week.
