Yakima River Fishing Report

The fishing has been strong so far this week, with fish eating dries, dry-dropper, nymph rigs and streamers. Whatever you like to fish, there are fish willing to eat right now. Dry-fly fishing has been better early in the morning in the canyon over the past few days, with the evening bite being slightly less productive. Low floaters or smaller foam bugs are fishing well for those looking to target fish feeding on summer stones, and dropping a tungsten beadhead off the back of your dry should also up our odds. Nymphing or dry-dropper fishing midday has been good as well, just make sure to target the faster, oxygenated during the warmest part of the day.
