Yakima River Fishing Report

It's been pretty windy here in the valley over the last two days, but it looks like the breeze should lay down tomorrow and give us some warm, fishy weather through the weekend. Nymphing Pat's and beadhead droppers is still putting fish in the boat consistently during the middle of the day, with a good evening caddis hatch in the lower canyon providing the bulk of the dry-fly fishing. We are getting close to the start of our summer (shortwing) stonefly hatch, so now is the time to stock up on those big foam and hair-wing dries in #8-10, and focusing your fishing in the early-morning or late-evening hours.
